A-League Rd 7 - Melbourne v Brisbane

defending champions have reportedly sacked head coach Mike Mulvey just seven weeks into the 2014-15 campaign, following the club’s worst start to an A-League season with just three points in six games.

Early reports indicated that Mulvey was already on notice for poor results, with Brisbane Roar chairman Chris Fong stating that he is looking to appoint a foreign coach. 62-year-old former Dutch international Frans Thijssen has reportedly been pegged for the task.

After their 1-0 loss at Melbourne Victory on Friday, the Roar will host league leaders Perth Glory on Saturday, November 29.
