Andik, in red, playing for Indonesia in the 2013 SEA Games
Selangor FA winger Andik Vermansyah has produced the second-fastest goal in his club’s Malaysian Super League history with his 35-second opener in a 1-1 draw against the champions Johor Darul Takzim on Saturday night.
The Red Giants got off to a perfect start when the diminutive Indonesian star sidestepped the JDT defence to rifle in a shot from outside the box, before Luciano Figueroa cancelled out his opener with an equaliser in the 62nd minute to see the match end with in a draw .
Only one other goal has been scored within the first minute of a Selangor match in MSL history, when Safee Sali rocked the net against PDRM FA back in 2009 with just 11 seconds elapsed.
Andik’s goal has taken him to the third in the Golden Boot race with two goals in the opening three games of this season.
