Myanmar’s rising star Than Paing is convinced of their chances of performing well at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup, which will be held in New Zealand from May 30 to June 20.
The White Angels juniors will face their first World Cup event in history and have been drawn with Ukraine, USA and the host nation in the group stage.
The Yangon United forward believes that the other teams in their group are tough, but the 18-year-old has vowed to do his best for Gerd Zeise’s team.
“We need to watch and learn some videos of our opponents before the World Cup begins so we can prepare ourselves to meet them in the tournament,” he told the Myanmar Times.
Myanmar are scheduled to face the USA in their opening match of the U20 World Cup on May 30 at Okara Park, Whangarei.
