Thailand’s Army United have been rocked by news that new star goalkeeper Hassan Sunny will be out of action for around three weeks with a shoulder injury.
The Singapore international, who signed for Thai Premier League outfit last month, was stretchered off in the second half after dislocating his left shoulder in the 80th minute of his team’s 2-1 win over TOT SC.
“Hassan will be likely to miss a couple of games with shoulder injury,”Army coach Gary Stevens confirmed through his Twitter account. “He has been superb in the first two games. Opportunity now for Kosin (Hembut).”
After undergoing medical test, however, the former Warriors goalkeeper will be absent for three weeks. He returned to Singapore this week to undergo platelet-rich plasma injections to speed up his recovery.
“I’ll be out for at least three weeks, but, then again, it’s better to be out three weeks than three months,” Hassan said according to AsiaOne. “Hopefully the weeks will fly by.”
