Becamex Binh Duong coach Nguyen Thanh Son was keen to take the positives from his team’s 5-1 loss to Kashiwa Reysol in their AFC Champions League encounter on Tuesday.
The V-League champions suffered a heavy defeat at Kashiwa Stadium, underlining the technical and psychological deficit between Binh Duong and the 2011 J-League champions.
“Kashiwa are a better side than us,” said Thanh Son shortly after the game. “Our players worked hard and showed their best efforts but couldn’t create chances.
“It was pretty disappointing to give away the goals at the end of the first half, but the pressure from our opponents was big.
“However, I’d like to build confidence in our players through the experience and take a lesson of in playing these intensive games,” he added.
This result keeps the Vietnamese outfit remain anchored to the bottom of the Group E table after losing their first two games.
