South Korean wonderkid Lee Seung-woo took part in a recent Barcelona B training session despite a transfer ban leaving him unable to play for competitively for the club’s youth team.
The 17-year-old has been considered a promising talent since he was discovered by Albert Puig during the 2010 Danone Cup in South AFrica.
With the Camp Nou residents unable to sign new players as a result of FIFA sanctions, other clubs including rivals Real Madrid, have expressed interest in signing Lee before he turns 18.
But the Catalan side remain confident that the Gyeonggi-born striker will graduate to the top team and have sought to keep him involved in team activities.
Lee is most recently known for his brilliant performance in the 2014 Asian Under-16 Championship in Thailand, when he became the tournament’s top scorer with five goals during South Korea’s runners-up campaign.
