Toshiya Miura believes Vietnam have the quality to compete in upcoming Asian joint qualifiers as long as they remain focused.
The Southeast Asian side were drawn into Group F against regional rivals Thailand and Indonesia, 2007 Asian Cup champions Iraq, and Chinese Taipei.
“I don’t focus my attention on the draw result because I think we are ready to face any team in any group,” the Japanese coach told reporters.
“Certainly, I’ll always tell my players to focus on their performance and give their best to the team in order to win every match we face in this round.”
The Golden Star will start their Asian campaign on June 11 against Thailand at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.
