Philippines’ Global FC have announced the signing of Japanese winger Norio Suzuki from Vegalta Sendai.
The United Football League outfit have brought the 31-year-old journeyman on board to accompany star strikers Mark Hartmann and Misagh Bahadoran.
“In a bid to challenge in all fronts, Global have bolstered the squad once again with the signing of Japanese player Suzuki,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
Suzuki represented Japan’s Under-20 side in the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship and has counted FC Tokyo, Vissel Kobe, Omiya Ardija and French side Angers SCO amongst his former clubs.
He joins Japanese defender Masaki Yanagawa, who arrived in January, as the club prepare to retain their UFL league title as well as compete in Singapore Cup this season.
