believes his side are capable of beating in the upcoming Semi Final at Allianz Stadium.

The former A-League Manager of the Year is confident that Sydney’s previous encounter with Adelaide, an 0-1 home loss, was not representative of his team’s strength.

““They beat us on the scoreboard [last time] but if you look at the performance that we put in that night,” Arnold told Sydney FC’s official website. “Psychologically after the game when you have six or seven of their players coming to you and saying ‘we had a balaclava on tonight and we robbed you,’players aren’t silly, they know who won.”

The Sky Blues have not beaten United since February of 2013, with two draws and five losses to their name since then. Adelaide won all three encounters played at Allianz Stadium this year, including a 3-1 extra time win in the FFA Cup quarter final. Despite that, Arnold believes his players can get the job done.

“It’s about keeping relaxed,” he said. “As long as the boys go and carry out the game plan and play to the instructions, I’m very confident that we’ll get the right result and hopefully in front of a huge crowd.”
