Rajamangala Stadium during the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup
Myanmar will contest their opening joint qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup at a neutral venue, FIFA have confirmed.
Football’s governing body had previously banned the White Angels from hosting qualifiers following crowd violence against Oman in the preliminary qualifying round for the 2014 World Cup.
With FIFA’s disciplinary committee having decided against them, the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) has confirmed that their side will host their June 16 opening match against South Korea at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Myanmar, who have never reached a World Cup final, are also paired with Laos, Lebanon, and Kuwait in Group G.
