Mitra Kukar coach Rudy Eka Priyambada is set to continue his managerial role as an assistant at Bahraini club Al-Najma.
Rudy’s departure from the Indonesia Super League had been expected following the abandonment of the league after the ongoing internal dispute between Indonesia’s football association (PSSI) and government.
“Indonesian football situation is not good at the moment,” Eka told Goal. “It will be better to develop and looking for more experience in other countries. After July, I will go to Bahrain.”
The 32-year-old, the youngest Indonesian with an A-class AFC license, had been in charge of Mitra Kukar’s first team after Scott Cooper’s resignation last month.
Al-Najma finished third in the 2014-15 Bahraini second division campaign under Serbian coach Danilo Doncic.
