Under-23 midfielder will be sidelined for the upcoming SEA Games in Singapore due to an injury.

The Song Lam Nghe An player was forced off with a groin problem during Saturday’s goalless draw in a friendly match against South Korea’s Under-23.

As reported by Vietnamnet, Hoang Thinh will require two month’s rest after suffering two broken ribs, meaning he will miss the biennial tournament for a second time.

The 23-year-old will be joined by SHB Da Nang forward Phan Van Long, who is also out of Toshiya Miura’s squad due to injury.
