The Myanmar Under-23 national team have set a first-place finish as their target in the upcoming 2015 SEA Games in Singapore, which kick off on May 29.
White Angel Juniors coach Kyi Lwin insisted that despite a lack of proper preparation before their 4-0 warm-up loss to Thailand’s U-23s on Tuesday, their goal can be reached.
“We previously held a training camp in Japan,” the Burmese tactician said. “Although we didn’t play friendlies with quality teams, it was still good preparation.
“Our target in the SEA Games? We want to claim the gold medal, just like the other teams.”
Myanmar will start their campaign in Southeast Asia’s 28th biennial multi-sport event against Indonesia at the Jalan Besar Stadium on June 2.
