Stefan Hansson has confirmed that Zeyar Shwe Myay are interested in signing Indonesian defender Dedi Gusmawan from Mitra Kukar.
The Swedish coach, who Mitra in the Indonesia Super League last season, is keen to bring his former player to join with him in the Myanmar National League.
“Gusmawan is a good defender and it’s true that I want to sign him for Zeyar Shwe Myay,” Hansson told Football Channel. “He will join us as soon as his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) is unveiled.
The 29-year-old defender has arrived in Myanmar on Thursday, admitted that he wants to continue his career abroad after the abandonment of ISL this season.
“I came to Myanmar to overcome my limit, currently I don’t have any fixtures with Mitra and then I got this chance, so I will take it,” said Gusmawan.
Gusmawan has made a single appearance for the national team, when he debuted in a friendly against Cambodia on September 25 last year.
