Vietnam U-23 defender Huynh Tan Tai will miss the rest of the 2015 SEA Games after suffering an injury during the team’s 6-0 victory over Brunei in the opening fixture.
The 20-year-old was hurt in the 68th minute at Bishan Stadium which forced him to leave the pitch earlier and was taken to the hospital for medical tests. The doctor diagnosed that Tan Tai had fractured his foot.
“Since comeback from the hospital, this injury made me can’t sleep well. But, it doesn’t feel more painful than my regret to miss the rest of SEA Games,” said Tan Tai as quoted by Bongdaplus.
As consequence, the Dong Tam Long An player will need at least a month to fully recover, while Vietnam are set to face Malaysia in the second match on June 2.
