Uncapped Atletico Madrid starlet Saeid Ezatolahi has been handed a call-up to the Iran squad for their upcoming matches against Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
Team Melli will take on Uzbekistan in a friendly at Bunyodkor Stadium Tashkent on June 11 before visiting Turkmenistan five days later in their opening joint qualifiers of 2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup campaign.
Ezatolahi, 18, who is the Iran Pro League’s youngest ever player after making his professional debut with Malavan at the age of 16, has been given the chance to prove his worth on the international stage by Carlos Queiroz.
Al Arabi’s Ashkan Dejagah misses out on being included in the 23-name along with Osasuna striker Karim Ansarifard and the NEC’s best player of Dutch second-tier league Alireza Jahanbakhsh.
