South Korean ace Ki Sung-yueng has admitted that he is open to a summer move to Arsenal, but does not want to end up sitting on the bench next season.
The English Premier League giants are apparently in search of a deep-lying midfielder with the Swansea City star was being identified last week as a target for around £15m.
Ki, who was named as the clubs’s player of the year after his excelling spell under Garry Monk in 2014/15, has spoken about links with the Emirates Stadium.
“It’s meaningful if a big club pays attention to me,” the 26-year-old told JoongAng Daily. “I think this happened because of my performance this season.
“The best team for me is the team where I can play on the field.”
The former FC Seoul and Celtic scored eight goals from midfield last season and impressed for The Swans thanks to his quality in possession as well as in defensive situations.
