Uzbekistan name strong squad to face Iran and North Korea

Uzbekistan v DPR Korea - 2015 Asian Cup

head coach has named a strong 23-man for the upcoming matches against Iran and North Korea.

The White Wolves take on Iran in a warm-up match at Bunyodkor Stadium on June 11 before leaving for North Korea five days later to start their campaign in joint qualifiers of and 2019 Asian Cup.

Highly-rated midfielders and Odil Ahmedov are back to the squad after being missed in the last friendly 5-1 defeat to Japan last March, as well as goalkeeper Ignatiy Nesterov and Lokomotiv Moscow defender Vitaliy Denisov.

The 2011 Asian Cup semifinalists have been drawn in Group H along with North Korea, Bahrain, Philippines and Yemen, will hold their first training camp in Tashkent from June 8 to 14.
