Al Shabab midfielder Azizbek Haydarov believes that his side have had a remarkable season during 2014/15 campaign.
The Hawks finished third at the end of UAE Arabian Gulf League, claimed the Gulf Club Champions Cup’s trophy and reached the semifinals of President’s Cup this season.
Despite failed to meet the highest expectations, the 29-year-old Uzbekistan star insisted that he still felt proud and was satisfied with the campaign.
“We lost against Al Nasr (in President’s Cup semfinals) but we are happy about a good job and good season,” said Haydarov was quoted byt Sport360.
“We got to the semi-finals of the President’s Cup and Arabian Gulf Cup, got the third position in the Arabian Gulf League and got the GCC Club Cup.”
Although satisfied by the way this season has panned out, the former Bunyodkor-man is determined to focus solely on improvement next season.
“We start our preparations for the new season on July 22. Everything we didn’t do this season, we try for next season,” he added. “I’m very happy with Al Shabab and this is the best group I have seen in my life.”
