North Korean youngster Jo Kwang-Myong has said he is taking inspiration from the Argentina phenomenon Lionel Messi.
The 20-year-old midfielder successfully led the Young Chollima to compete in the 2015 U-20 World Cup after helping his team to claim the runner-up spot in U-19 Asian Championship last year.
“I’m a huge fan of Messi, and actually we’re the same size. He inspires me a great deal,” he told Fifa’s official site on his admiration for the Barcelona star.
However, the Asian U-19 finals’ joint-top scorer on five goals insisted that he will not be lulled with his label as a special talent despite having a great comparison with Messi.
“I just try to rely on the qualities I have to help my team make the difference and I think I’m fairly quick and have a certain ability for dribbling,” he added.
