Nagatomo denies Sampdoria transfer: “I love Inter”

Japanese defender on Thursday denied a reported move to Serie A club as his future with remains unclear.

The 28-year-old made a full appearance for the Samurai Blue, contributing to a shutout in their 4-0 friendly win over Iraq at International Stadium Yokohama.

“I haven’t heard anything about a move to Sampdoria,” Nagatomo said after the match. “I’ve been with Inter for five years and I love them. Of course I want to stay.”

Italian media have reported that the former FC Tokyo and Cesena left back is one of three players who could join the Nerazzurri in a swap for Italian international Eder.
