Japanese defender Yuto Nagatomo on Thursday denied a reported move to Serie A club Sampdoria as his future with Inter remains unclear.
The 28-year-old made a full appearance for the Samurai Blue, contributing to a shutout in their 4-0 friendly win over Iraq at International Stadium Yokohama.
“I haven’t heard anything about a move to Sampdoria,” Nagatomo said after the match. “I’ve been with Inter for five years and I love them. Of course I want to stay.”
Italian media have reported that the former FC Tokyo and Cesena left back is one of three players who could join the Nerazzurri in a swap for Italian international Eder.
