Club president Liu Yongzhuo said at Thursday’s draw that the Chinese champions and 2013 Asian champions are starting their second five-year plan with former Brazil coach as their manager.

“We have one of the best coaches in the world in Scolari and after a successful initial five-year plan, we are starting our second phase during which we hope to become one of the top 20 clubs in the world.

“We have a very good squad right now and I am very satisfied, but we will make some amendments to make us stronger.”
