Former Fulham youngster Corey Gameiro joins Melbourne City

The talented marksman, whose 2014-2015 season was ruined by injury, has signed a two-year deal with the club.

His arrival is the third signing for John van ‘t Schip as he looks to re-build his squad, with Gameiro joining Socceroo Ivan Franjic and 18-year-old attacker Steve Kuzmanovski on the club’s books.

“I’m ahead of schedule at the moment, so I am doing well,” Gameiro said. “The facilities here are excellent and I am very happy to be here at the club and continuing my rehabilitation in the Academy’s fantastic gym.

“I believe the club is heading in the right direction, have the foundations right and have the potential now to achieve success and I want to be a part of it.”
