Mitsuru Maruoka admits he is uncomfortable at being left on the bench at Borussia Dortmund but insists he is not looking to leave Westfalenstadion.
The 19-year-old midfielder does not want to walk away from the club after just one season and is hopeful he can answer his critics when the new campaign starts in August.
“I decided to stay for another year in Germany,” he tweeted on his official Twitter account. “I’d like to give my best for the team.”
“This is why I am here in Germany, why I am here in Dortmund. I think I’d only be stronger after a tough season, and I want more games this year. I want to aim for the top!
“Thank you for your support!”
Maruoka joined Borussia Dortmund in January 2014 on a one and a half year loan from Cerezo Osaka. He made his professional debut in the 3. Liga at 25 January 2014 against SpVgg Unterhaching.
