Bobby Zamora is interested in a move to Australia to play for the Newcastle Jets – the former club of fellow ex-England international Emile Heskey, reports from Australia have claimed.
The English forward was deemed surplus to requirements at Loftus Road and wasn’t offered a new contract, making him a free agent and at 34 years of age will struggle to cope with the physical demands of the Championship.
Zamora started his career back in the 1999-2000 season and has since gone on to play for six different teams making over 500 appearances in total.
His last four seasons, which were all with the Hoops, were blighted by injury and as such the striker only managed to bag 11 league goals in 73 games.
