Stefan Hansson lauded Dedi Gusmawan’s contribution after the Indonesian defender playing his first two games for Zeyar Shwe Myay in Myanmar National League this season.
The former Mitra Kukar man made his debut for Monywa-based team against Yadanarbon in early last week, when his side lost 3-1 to the defending champions.
“Although we lost to Yadanarbon, Dedi performed very well. That was not a compliment excessive, because the opponent’s coach and the media agreed too,” the Swedish tactician told Goal.
The 29-year-old was again involved in the first team squad when Zeyar Shwe Myay won 4-1 over Rakhine United on Satudray and Hansson did not hesitate to launch another praise on him.
“We performed very well against Rakhine. During that game, Dedi played as a defensive midfielder and he performed brilliantly,” he added.
The victory moved Zeyar Shwe Myay three points clear of the MNL relegation zone. They are scheduled to face Kanbazwza in the 12th matchday on July 18.
