Socceroo youngster Tom Rogic hopes to put injury worries behind him and revives Celtic career

international midfielder is looking to put a nightmare of 12 months injury problems behind him and finally kick-start his career.

The 22-year-old saw his chance to impress Celtic manager Ronny Deila wiped out by a serious groin injury, forced him to only made 15 appearances since joining from Central Coast Mariners in January 2013.

Having spent the first half of last season on loan at Hyundai A-Leagus side Melbourne Victory, the Canberra-born is now happy with his fitness levels ahead of the new campaign of Scottish Premier League.

“It was a bit of a nightmare,” Rogic is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. “I don’t want to get into it too much. I had a serious groin injury. I feel I’ve come out the other side of that.

“It was a pretty testing time. I never thought it would be as long as it was. It’s hard to put into words, it was pretty difficult. But that’s past me now. I just want to be positive and look to the future.”

Rogic has won nine caps for Australia since made his international debut as a substitute in a 2–1 friendly victory over South Korea in 2012.
