Indonesia national team star Greg Nwokolo has praised the Thai Premier League’s quality following his move from Persija Jakarta to BEC Tero Sasana.
The 29-year-old striker joined the Fire Dragons squad last month after leaving the Indonesia Super League due to uncertainty in the Indonesian football recently.
“Football’s level in the Thai Premier League is like European leagues. In BEC Tero, we have nine Thai national team players. It will be fun to play with them,” he told SportSatu.
The Nigerian-born, who previously had a TPL stint with Chiangrai United in 2012, insisted that he did not face any adaptation problems as he has already joined Kenny Shiels’ training session for BEC Tero.
“My adaptation here is good, maybe the language barrier is a problem. But I felt better after recruiting an interpreter,” said Greg.
