Former Chonburi coach Masahiro Wada is keen on a return to the Thai Premier League after resigning from the J-League second division club Kyoto Sanga.
It was revealed by Chonburi’s technical director Witthaya Laohakul that the 50-year-old tactician, who won the 2014 TPL manager of the year award, will look for another managerial stint in Thailand.
“Masahiro Wada have contacted me [to look for an opportunity to return] after he left Kyoto Sanga,” said Witthaya regarding the issue.
However, Witthaya also insisted that the Japanese coach is not interested to re-join The Sharks’ despite successfully led the club to finish as runner-up in TPL and FA Cup, both in 2014 season campaign.
“He will depart to Thailand in August but he confirmed that he will not consider to take the Chonburi managerial role,” he added.
