Indonesian international Arthur Irawan has expressed his delight after returning to pre-season training with the Belgian club Waasland-Beveren.
The 22-year-old versatile defender has been ruled out of action for the past month since suffering an injury at the end of 2014/15 season campaign.
Arthur is now able to train with his teammates and he is hopeful of being ready for the new season of Belgian Pro League after featuring through 60 minutes in a 2-1 friendly win against fourth-tier side KESK Leopoldsburg on Saturday.
“I’m very happy to play my first match of this season after returning from injury and glad to see my team’s victory,” wrote the Surabaya-born defender on his Twitter account.
Arthur joined Waasland from Spanish club Malaga B last summer and made a single appearance in his debut season in Belgium.
