are close to completing the signing of international goalkeeper from Belgian side , the club confirmed on Monday.

The 23-year-old custodian is currently on his way to the Spanish La Liga club to undergo a medical after the two teams agreed a £5million deal.

“If I pass my medical tests, I will indeed leave Club Brugge,” Ryan told the Club Brugge’s official website, confirming his impending departure to Spain.

“It’s been a joy to be in this warm and amical club. They have done everything they could to keep me another year which made it even harder for me to make this choice.

“I’ve had a wonderful time at the club but now it’s time to take this next step. Last season I already declined a nice offer, but this time I couldn’t. I’m very grateful that Club gave me this chance in Europe.”

Ryan, who moved to Brugge from Central Coast Mariners in 2013, had won the award for Belgium Pro League Goalkeeper of the Year two seasons running.
