Indonesia set to open national youth training centre

Football Association of () is set to launch a national youth training centre located in Sawangan, Depok, West Java.

Together with the close co-operation of FIFA and their Goal project, the PSSI will soon open their first training centre, which will comprise two natural grass pitches and one artificial pitch.

It was also revealed on the PSSI’s official website that the venue is aimed to provide a regular training facility for the country’s national football teams.

Since 1999 FIFA has invested approximately $260million through Goal project campaign, including Indonesia, who has benefited after the program was implemented two years ago.

“Indonesia is a country with an immense potential in which football’s popularity has been increasing over the past years,” said FIFA Director Member Associations and Development Thierry Regenass in 2013.
