Emilio Hernandez’s move to Muangthong United has collapsed.
All parties had agreed the formalities of the deal, but the Chilean failed his trial at Muangthong, causing the deal to collapse.
Muangthong officials declined to comment on a specific reason for pulling out of the deal, but Thai media can reveal that the transfer is off, with indications that Emilio Hernandez has failed to impress Muangthong head coach Dragan Tajalic.
Reports in Thailand have claimed that he played in the friendly game agaisnt Samut Sakorn FC on 20 July. He scored the only goal for his team with a brilliant free-kick, but did not perform well in the entire match. He was not in good fitness condition either.
Emilio departed for Chile earlier on Wednesday morning.
The collapse of the deal will leave the club desperately searching for a new foreign player before kicking-off again in Thai Premier League campaign this weekend.
