Brazil international Robinho is keen to help Guangzhou Evergrande continue their recent success after joining the defending Chinese Super League champions this summer.
The 31-year-old has been reunited with Luiz Felipe Scolari and former international colleagues Paulinho at Evergrande after ending his contract with AC Milan, following an extended loan period back in Brazil with Santos.
“There are a lot of Brazilians here so that will make it easier to adapt,” said Robinho.
“It is a big challenge for me to come to the Chinese Super League. I have high expectations for myself and I hope I can help my new club win championships. Guangzhou Evergrande is a very unique club.”
The four-time CSL winners are currently in second place and have qualified for the quarterfinals of this year’s AFC Champions League, where they will face Japanese outfit Kashiwa Reysol in a rematch of the tournament’s 2013 semifinals.
