Leicester boss Ranieri praises Okazaki impact

boss Claudio Ranieri believes ’s ability to “smell the goal” will be important this season.

The striker scored his first goal in the 3-2 victory at Birmingham since moving for £7million from Mainz.

“It is important to feel good and, for strikers, goals are very important,” said Ranieri.

“He played very well when he came on. He was very impressive.

“It was amazing, he took the ball, he played between the line, he played as a striker.

“And he smells the goal in the box, which is important for us.”
