Uzbekistan giants Bunyodkor have rejected an offer from Portuguese club Pacos de Ferreira for their promising striker Zabikhillo Urinboev.
The 20-year-old Uzbekistan international was not allowed to leave the Tashkent-based team as the club are determined to keep him for the remaining Uzbek Pro League this season.
Bunyodkor currently sit on the fourth place of Uzbek PFL with 37 points after 17 matches, seven points behind league leaders Pakhtakor.
“Urinboev has received a proposal to move to the Pacos de Ferreira in the end of July,” said the player’s agent, Sanat Sharipov.
Urinboev attracted interest from European sides after performing well in this year’s U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, where he led Uzbekistan into quarterfinals.
