Peru international star is set to make his debut for side in a friendly against Kuwaiti giants Al Qadsia in this week.

The 30-year-old winger has decided to end his seven-year journey with German Bundesliga’s Schalke and joined the Abu Dhabi-based team for a reported fee of €6 million on a three-year deal this summer.

“We might play against Al Qadsia on Sunday or Monday, most likely at the (Mohammad Bin Zayed) Stadium,” said the club supervisor Ahmad Saeed Al Marzouki.

It will be the first competitive match for Farfan, who helped Peru to a third-place finish at this year’s Copa America, before competing in the new season of Arabian Gulf League against Al Wasl on next Friday.
