Cambodian young forward Prak Mony Udom has been ruled out of the upcoming 2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup joint qualifiers against Japan in September 3.
Reports on Tuesday said the Svay Rieng rising star will miss the national team duty as the player himself confirmed via Facebook account.
“I am sorry to all of the fans because of an injury I could not join the national team but I hope my condition will be better (in the next games),” the 21-year-old posted.
Prak Mony Udom will also miss the friendly against Laos on August 27 in Bangkok, Thailand, before departing to Saitama to face Japan in a week later.
Cambodia lost their first two home games in the qualifying campaign, against Singapore 4-0 and Afghanistan 1-0 respectively in June.
