Thailand’s young midfielder Chanathip Songkrasin was named as AFF Men’s Player of the Year at the annual awards dinner in Yangoon, Myanmar on Saturday night.
The memorable weekend for Thailand became even better when coach Kiatisuk Senamuang and Nisa Romyen won the The Coach of the Year and Women’s Player of the Year awards.
Chanathip and Kiatisuk were voted as the best following their success story after winning the last year’s AFF Suzuki Cup, for the fourth time in history.
Meanwhile, Myanmar youngster Aung Thu, who led the U-20 national team qualified for World Cup last May, was named as Youth Player of the Year.
