Brazilian star Robinho scored twice as Guangzhou Evergrande won their Chinese Super League game against Shanghai Shenxin on Friday.
Former AC Milan and Real Madrid forward’s brace successfully led the Southern China Tigers to clinch a 4-2 victory over the bottom-table team.
Robinho scored the second goal on a well-struck left-footed shot in the 58th after receiving Gao Lin’s pass. He doubled his account ten minutes before final whistle through a close range strike.
The win helped close the gap on the top of CSL’s table between second-place Evergrande and first-place rivals Shanghai SIPG, who are now just one point clear.
