South Korean giants Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors played out a goalless draw against Gamba Osaka in the first leg of quarterfinal tie at Jeonju World Cup Stadium on Wednesday.

The game in Seoul was an entertaining encounter that featured plenty of attacking endeavour. Lee Dong-Gook had a chance to give a lead for Jeonbuk in the second half, but his shot failed to meet the target.

Substitute Luiz Henrique spurned a late chance to give Jeonbuk the edge, but the Brazilian fired the ball high and wide, made the game ended in a scoreless draw until the final whistle.

0-1 Al Ahli

Al Ahli successfully recorded a crucial away 1-0 victory over Iranian outfit Naft Tehran in the first leg of Asian Champions League quarterfinal, which was held at Azadi Stadium, Tehran.

Brazilian striker Lima headed home after 62 minutes, to give the UAE giants a slender advantage in the last eight clash with his lone goal in the game.

Goal from former Benfica striker was enough to bring Al Ahli into a good position ahead of the return leg of quarterfinal tie on September 16 at Rashid Stadium.
