goalkeeper made a huge mistake which allowed Ailton to score the opening goal in ’s 4-1 home win in the first leg of Asian Champions League quarter final tie on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old custodian had received a backpass from a teammate and instead of kicking the ball away when the Brazilian striker went to pressure him, he took a late shot which saw the ball struck Ailton and bounced into his own net.

This put the champions Lekhwiya left with a huge mountain to climb in the return leg against the Saudi giants, which is scheduled to play at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium on September 15.
