Son Heung-min is determined to snatch all three points when South Korea host Laos in the 2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup joint qualifiers on Thursday.
The 23-year-old, who recently joined Tottenham Hotspur from Bayer Leverkusen, has returned to his country on Monday ahead of a match against the South East Asian nation at Hwaseong Stadium.
“I’m feeling good right now. It’s our first home match of World Cup qualifier so we will prepare well for fans,” said Son after attending the national team training session at Paju.
“It’s not important who will score (against Laos), all that matters is to win the game. It doesn’t matter if it’s 1-0 or 10-0. There are many players other than me that can score. It’s important to score early.”
Taegeuk Warriors will also travel to Lebanon on September 8 to continue their qualifying campaign this month.
