Indonesian young forward Syaffarizal Mursalin Agri, who commonly known as Farri Agri, was handed his debut for Qatar Stars League side Al Ahli on Sunday.
The 23-year-old Lhokseumawe-born played in the final minutes of the game after replacing Congolese striker Mulota Kabangu, in his club’s 2-0 away defeat to Al Gharafa.
Farri is a new signing in Zlatko Kranjcar’s squad, joined the Doha-based team from the QSL rival Al Khor earlier this month.
Raised in Qatar, the country who developed him as a professional footballer since graduating from Aspire Academy, made him potentially to represent the West Asian nation at international level.
However, during an interview with Goal in August 2011, Farri revealed that he wanted to play for Indonesia national team and is yet to receive a call-up from Merah Putih squad so far.
