Persib Bandung attacking midfielder Makan Konate claimed that Myanmar side Ayeyawady United are one of several clubs interested in signing him.
The 23-year-old Malian youngster has scored 13 goals in 28 appearances in the Indonesia Super League (ISL) last season, when he successfully led Maung Bandung to clinch the title.
Following the dissolution of ISL this season due to a conflict between Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) and government, Konate has been tipped to leave Persib.
“I have offers, notably from Sriwijaya FC and (in Myanmar) from Ayeyawady United, but I would like to stay in Persib,” he revealed.
The former PSPS Pekanbaru and Barito Putera star also hopes his fine form with Persib in the Indonesian top tier league will earn Mali national team’s call-up.
“I was appeared on Malian television and I they (national team) are aware that I play in Indonesia. Previously I played for Mali U-17 and U-19 and hope to get a call-up from senior team,” Konate said.
