Boeung Ket Angkor qualified for Toyota Mekong Club Championship 2015 after 4-2 win over Phnom Penh Crown on Thursday afternoon.
Chan Vathanaka was the hero for Boeung Ket Angkor in this match with a hat-trick while the other goal of the home team came from Khuon Laboravy. With the hat-trick, Chan Vathanaka has scored 35 goals in total this season.
Two consolation goals of Phnom Penh Crown were scored by Shane Booysen and George Bisan.
Despite remaining on top of the table after 22 rounds of 2015 Metfone Cambodian League, Boeung Ket Angkor have not clinched the crown this season yet as the play-off round for top 4 teams will be taken place in November to determine the champions of Cambodia this season.
Boeung Ket Angkor now will qualify for 2015 Toyota Mekong Club Championship as Cambodia’s representative. They will face Laos Champions (Laos Toyota or Lanexang United) in the opening match of the tournament on Nov 1 in Chao Anuvong stadium.
