Former Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro is set to be unveiled as Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr’s new head coach.
According to Tuttosport, the 2006 World Cup winner has agreed to sign a seven-month deal with an option to extend for another year.
The 42-year-old previously managed the Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande since November last year before announcing his departure in April.
At Al Nassr, Cannavaro will replace Colombian legend Rene Higuita as interim coach. The Riyadh-based club are currently seventh in the Saudi Professional League.
