Kashiwa Reysol on Wednesday announced that manager Tatsuma Yoshida will step down at the conclusion of the 2015 season.
The news means the 41-year-old will cease his 12-year capacity working in a staff role at the Chiba Prefecture outfit.
Yoshida played for the club between 1993 and 1996 before signing on as a youth coach in 2003, going on to serve in various capacities in the team’s youth academy for the next decade.
After taking over as manager this season, Yoshida led Reysol to an appearance in the 2015 AFC Champions League quarter-finals.
Despite enduring initial difficulties at the start of the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League season, the trainer oversaw their rise to sixth in the second stage, ensuring their position of ninth in the overall table.
