Japanese players Nakamura Shunsuke and Saito Manabu of Yokohama F. Marinos have convinced Thai players to play in the J.League.
Nakamura Shunsuke is a free-kick specialist and former national player who played for Glasgow Celtic in Scotland and Espanol in Spain. The Japanese legend had an interview with Thai media last week.
“I know that J1 League are being broadcasted in Thailand and there are a lot of followers. I hope that they will cheer for us in the title race,” he said. “I also want to persuade Thai players to play in Japan.”
Saito Manabu, vice-captain of Marinos, also gave his opinions.
“On professional aspect, many top Japanese footballers want Thai players to play for us. They are technically skilled and professional.”
