Nguyen Cong Phuong is considered one of the most promising in Vietnam at the moment. He has proved his prowess in Vietnam’s youth teams and earned himself a call-up to the national team during World Cup 2018 qualifiers.

As a result, the-20year-old caught the eye of  J2 League side Mito HollyHock for the 2016 season campaign. The imminent loan move will  see the former Vietnam U-19 skipper to become the second Vietnamese player to play in Japan after Le Cong Vinh with Consadole Sapporo in 2013.
